Top Cover now in North Berwick but a ridge pole and frames required to be fabricated before this can be fitted on the boat.

  

NB002

The outside of the hull is now faired and ready for the painting process to commence.  Note: the fairing has taken two or three days longer than expected but we are still pushing for completion in 2 weeks.

 

Work Targets for Wk 32.

 

NB001: Ridge pole and frames to be made thus allowing the fitting of the boats cover.

  

NB002: Painting process to commence.  Note: 2 coats of sealer, 2 coats of undercoat before 2 coats to top coat.

]]> NB01 (St Baldred):  All installation complete for this stage with Brass Keelband installed along with rubbing trims. Modification to the floorboards is still on-going but this work will be conducted at the harbour and will not put the boat out of service this week. 
 
NB02  The clean-up of the inside of hull is now almost complete and the larch top rails have been dressed and are ready for fitting.
Oars:  Oar numbers 3 4 and 5 are progressing at various stages, with painting commencing on at least one of them!

The seats and floorboards are being oiled and varnished before being fitted inside the hull.  The nameplates are at Douglas Seton, who is very kindly doing the sign writing.  Kebes and top rubbing rails still to be installed.
